About Harris County Body Shop

In 1963, Chuck Davis purchased a former transmission shop on the corner of North Shepherd and Leago and Harris County Body Shop was born. Chuck had no experience in the auto industry, but as the Regional Manger of a chain of retail department stores where he had been in charge of new store openings in all of south Texas, he felt he had the knowledge and accumulated skills needed to make the business work.

As the "new kid on the block," Chuck knew that he would have to prove himself and that he was serious about making the business succeed. It took diligence, perseverance, hard work and many long hours to demonstrate his commitment in the industry and that he was here to stay. He believes that success only happens when you are willing to work hard enough for it. He has never wavered from this philosophy.

Our business was conceived on the idea of providing a quality product for a fair price with dedication to customer service. We have built Harris County Body shop on this foundation and continue each and every day to strive to be the very best we can without wavering from our ideals.

Even with our growth, we have always operated as a "family" business. Over the years our children have swept the floors and washed cars. Dan, our son, is the General Manager, Diane, our daughter is the Office Manager, Jennifer our granddaughter is the Operations Manager. We have worked hard to accumulate a proficient, friendly, capable staff that is dedicated to our goals. We have employees that have worked with us for many years.

We now have almost sixty thousand feet under roof and are one of the largest capacity facilities in Houston. We are currently a direct repair facility for eleven different insurance companies and can repair any make or model vehicle. We are also one of Houston's most technologically advanced body shops, with some of the latest equipment and advanced training available in the industry. We are an I-Car Gold facility and have a full service, ASE Certified mechanic shop on premise.

We remain aggressive in our goal to be the best repair facility in Houston...the same goal that Chuck had in mind back in 1963!
